Why This Role?

This isn’t just another Deputy Manager vacancy. You’ll be stepping into a stable, fully occupied home with strong foundations – so instead of firefighting, you can focus on what really matters: leading your team and creating a space where young people feel safe, supported, and inspired.

As Deputy Manager, you’ll have the backing of an experienced Registered Manager while also being trusted to step up, take responsibility, and grow into the next stage of your career. For an ambitious Deputy Manager, this is a genuine chance to progress.

What You’ll Do

* Work as Deputy Manager alongside the Registered Manager to provide strong leadership.

* Lead and support a dedicated care team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care.

* Mentor and supervise staff, ensuring every team member thrives under your guidance as Deputy Manager.

* Deputise for the Registered Manager, including on-call duties and chairing meetings.

* Take ownership of safeguarding, compliance, care planning, and professional record-keeping.

* Build trusted relationships with young people, families, social workers, and schools.

* Support with rotas, budgets, reports, and audits, acting as Deputy Manager who keeps the home running smoothly.

* Champion a safe, inclusive, and aspirational culture within the home.

What We’re Looking For

* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

* Experience supervising staff in a children’s residential setting.

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted standards.

* A confident leader with excellent communication skills.

* Flexibility for on-call and shift work.

* Driving licence (preferred).

Whether you’re an experienced Deputy Manager or a senior practitioner ready to step up, this role offers the support and scope to succeed.

 Casual dress
 Free & on-site parking
